Noah Kahan’s Great Divide Tour has continued to draw attention for reasons beyond the music. According to Stereogum, the latest controversy followed his Sunday, July 19 show at New York’s Citi Field.
Kahan opened the night by apologizing for the cancellation of the previous evening’s concert, which was called off because of severe thunderstorms. He told the crowd he was sorry for the fans who waited in the rain and traveled to the venue, adding that he had been thinking about them.
After the show, posts on Threads and Reddit alleged that a concertgoer in Section 125 urinated in her seat. One social media user claimed the incident ruined a purse and other belongings, while another said nearby fans could smell it for the rest of the night.
Stereogum noted that the claims were circulating online and had not been independently confirmed in the article. The outlet also pointed out that police are investigating a separate incident involving a man accused of urinating on a family at a Morgan Wallen concert in Baltimore on July 18.
