The Rolling Stones’ new album, Foreign Tongues, was voted this week’s favorite new music in a Billboard poll, according to Billboard.
The album, which is the band’s 25th full-length studio release, received 42% of the vote when the poll closed on Sunday. It finished ahead of new releases from YEONJUN, Beyoncé and Feid.
Foreign Tongues features 14 tracks, including 12 original songs and two covers: Amy Winehouse’s “You Know I’m No Good” and Chuck Berry’s “Beautiful Delilah.” The project was recorded with producer Andrew Watt at Metropolis Studios in West London.
Billboard says the album also includes contributions from Steve Winwood, Paul McCartney, The Cure’s Robert Smith and Chad Smith of the Red Hot Chili Peppers, along with longtime collaborators Darryl Jones, Matt Clifford and Steve Jordan. Drums recorded by the late Charlie Watts in one of his final studio sessions before his 2021 death can be heard on “Hit Me in the Head.”
