Rosie O'Donnell is sharing new details about her relationship with daughter Chelsea O'Donnell after visiting her in prison, according to E! News.
In a recent interview with Page Six, Rosie said the visit led to the first conversation she has had with Chelsea in 10 years that lasted more than 25 minutes. She added that the four-hour visit in prison was the first time she had seen Chelsea in a consistent way in years.
Rosie also said Chelsea cried when they had to end the visit early because of a tornado warning. She described that reaction as the first time she had seen what she called an empathetic emotion from her daughter.
According to the report, Chelsea was arrested three times in Wisconsin between September and November 2024 on several charges, including drug possession, and was sentenced to prison after a judge revoked her probation. Rosie said Chelsea has been sober for nearly two years and expressed hope that her future will be brighter than the past decade.
