CBS News has rounded up some of the leading live music acts of summer 2026, with images from photojournalists Jake Barlow, Ed Spinelli and Kirstine Walton.
The gallery includes Bruce Springsteen performing at the United Center in Chicago on April 29, along with shows by Lou Gramm, Muse, The Temper Trap and Bloc Party in the Chicago area, according to CBS News. It also highlights performances by Amy Lee of Evanescence, Ed Sheeran at Soldier Field and Godsmack in Tinley Park.
Summerfest in Milwaukee is featured prominently as well. Festival officials told CBS Station WDJT that the event hosted 600 performers across ten stages this year and drew more than 613,000 attendees, with nearly half traveling from outside Wisconsin.
Among the acts shown from Summerfest were Echo & the Bunnymen, Alejandro Escovedo, Post Sex Nachos, Morgan St. Jean, Dora Jar, The Dream Syndicate, Modern English, Tash Sultana, Styx, Father John Misty, Cameron Whitcomb and Amyl and the Sniffers.
