JENNIE’s “Less Than a Lover” has been named this week’s favorite new music in a Billboard poll, according to Billboard.
The BLACKPINK singer’s latest solo release earned more votes than any other new arrival in the poll, which was published Friday and closed on Sunday. The song collected more than 62% of the vote.
“Less Than a Lover” arrived with a music video co-written by JENNIE and directed by Chooey. The video was filmed on the coast of Spain and was described as playing like a romantic short film.
According to Billboard, the track was first previewed live at Governors Ball in New York City in June and has remained part of JENNIE’s summer festival setlist since then. It is her newest release following “Dracula,” her collaboration with Tame Impala, which reached No. 5 on the Hot 100.
KATSEYE’s “Animal” finished second in the poll with 24% of the vote, followed by Macario Martinez’s “Estar Sin Ti,” Tyla’s A*Pop album and Charli xcx’s Music, Fashion, Film collection.
