Glastonbury organiser Emily Eavis has confirmed that all three 2027 headliners have been booked, while also dismissing rumours that Madonna will play the festival, according to NME.
Eavis made the comments on BBC Radio 4’s PM programme on August 14. When asked directly about Madonna, she said it was “definitely not Madonna,” but added that the festival is “very excited” about the three headliners already in place.
She also declined to confirm whether Taylor Swift was among the booked acts. Eavis said that most stories about Glastonbury are not true, and that rumours are “pretty much always wrong.”
Glastonbury will return next summer, running from Wednesday June 23 to Sunday June 27, after taking a fallow year in 2026 to allow the ground at Worthy Farm to rest. No names have been announced yet for the 2027 lineup.
Madonna had been the subject of recent speculation after she spoke on The Graham Norton Show in June about planning promotional tours before doing “something bigger” next summer. NME also noted that other names floated in early betting included Sam Fender, Ed Sheeran, Rihanna, Little Simz and more.
