Ellie Goulding is suing her former management company in the U.K., claiming it had conflicts of interest because of its ties to Live Nation, according to Rolling Stone.
Rolling Stone reports that Goulding was represented by TaP Management from 2018 through 2025. In her lawsuit, she says the company did not disclose that Live Nation had taken a controlling stake in TaP in 2015 before later buying the rest of the firm in 2019.
The singer alleges that while she was with TaP, her team repeatedly encouraged her to work with Live Nation and its subsidiaries on projects including concert promotion, merchandise and a documentary. She says that TaP leadership and HNOE had financial and commercial interests that conflicted with her own.
Goulding is seeking unspecified compensation, damages and other relief, according to the suit obtained by Rolling Stone. Live Nation is not named as a defendant, and neither TaP nor the other defendants immediately responded to requests for comment.
Goulding signed with TaP in 2018 and stayed with the company through the release of 2020’s Brightest Blue and 2023’s Higher Than Heaven. She is now preparing to release her sixth studio album, I Know Too Much, on Sept. 4.
