Drake is featured on Karol G’s new album, No Me Arrepiento de Sentir Tanto, which was released Friday, Aug. 7, and includes the collaboration “Ahí,” according to Billboard.
On the song, the two artists sing over a summery, catchy refrain while trading lines about having feelings for someone who is not ready for a relationship. Near the end of the track, Drake delivers bars that reference a woman “like Karolina,” echoing his earlier lyrics.
Billboard notes that the lines on “Ahí” directly interpolate Drake’s May song “New Bestie,” which also included a shout-out to Karol G. That track spent one week on the Billboard Hot 100 at No. 72.
No Me Arrepiento de Sentir Tanto also features collaborations with Bruno Mars, Greg Gonzalez of Cigarettes After Sex, and others. The album arrives a little more than a year after Karol G’s previous release, Tropicoqueta, which spent two weeks at No. 1 on Top Latin Albums.
Drake’s connection to the project had been the subject of rumors earlier this year, but Billboard reports that the surprise appearance fans expected on ICEMAN did not happen. In July, Drake also attended one of Karol G’s concerts in Toronto and appeared on the Jumbotron.
