Katseye is putting its audition-era grit to work in the new video for “Animal,” their latest single. According to Rolling Stone, the group performs for a boardroom full of male counterparts called Boyseye, but the first try does not win them over.
After their headshots are torn apart, Katseye starts over with help from Demi Moore. In the video, Moore plays a sharp-tongued fashion mentor, rejecting weak outfit choices and offering advice in a role that nods to The Devil Wears Prada.
“Animal” was co-written by Ed Sheeran and produced by Omer Fedi and Blake Slatkin, according to Rolling Stone. The song will appear on Katseye’s five-track EP Wild, which is set for release on Aug. 14.
Rolling Stone says the group also hosted a YouTube countdown event before the video premiere, with Lara, Yoonchae, Megan and Daniela celebrating with animal-style fries from In-N-Out Burger. After Wild arrives and their film Katseye: Wild Hearts hits theaters in August, the group is scheduled to begin the Wildworld Tour in September, with stops across North America and Europe.
