Dakota Johnson and singer Role Model have reportedly broken up less than a year after dating rumors first surfaced, according to multiple outlets reported by E! News on Aug. 19.
The pair had kept much of their relationship private. Role Model, whose real name is Tucker Pillsbury, recently spoke about working with Johnson on his album Chuck Timely & the Hourglass, where she appears in a spoken-word cameo on the song “Love I You.”
In an Aug. 4 interview with Nylon, Role Model said Johnson came to the studio and agreed to record the part after producer Mason Stoops suggested it. He said he was initially unsure about mixing music and romance, but Johnson quickly won him over by jumping into the booth and delivering the cameo.
Johnson previously dated Coldplay frontman Chris Martin for seven years. E! News said it reached out to reps for Johnson and Role Model for comment but had not heard back.
