Firefighters in Corvallis, Oregon, responded Monday to a home where a kitten had gotten its head stuck through a hole in a piece of furniture, according to UPI Odd News.
The Corvallis Fire Department said on social media that Station 2 crews were dispatched after the report came in. Photos posted by the department showed firefighters cutting through the wooden furniture to reach the kitten.
After some careful work, crews were able to safely free the animal, the department said. Officials joked that the kitten likely had some serious reconsideration of its life choices during the rescue.
The fire department said there were no injuries, no fire and no ladders were needed.
