A North Carolina woman says a night of insomnia led to an unexpected $150,000 lottery prize, according to UPI Odd News.
Mooresville resident Sue Rowley told North Carolina Education Lottery officials that she could not sleep on July 8, so she picked up her phone and started playing Digital Instant lottery games.
Rowley said she was “fiddling around” late at night when she placed a $30 bet on Tumbling Treasures and won the $150,000 prize. She said she did not believe it at first because it was so unusual.
Rowley said she plans to use the prize money for home renovations.
