Brad Miller asks Maricopa residents for SR 347 questions

Pinal County Attorney Brad Miller is asking Maricopa residents and SR 347 commuters to send in their questions and concerns about the highway, according to InMaricopa.

In a video posted to social media, Miller said he will take those questions with him on a ride-along with state troopers next week. The video did not give a deadline, but he said people can leave their questions in the comments.

Miller said his office is working with the Arizona Department of Public Safety to highlight the dangers of the road and to help promote the new Arizona Arrive Alive program, which launched last month.

That five-year safety initiative is aimed at reducing fatal crashes by targeting impaired, aggressive and distracted driving, along with seatbelt violations. InMaricopa reported two fatalities on SR 347 this year, including crashes that killed 21-year-old Yahir Garcia in January and 74-year-old Jim Schrimpf in May.
