Bebe Rexha took the stage on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon with a lively medley of her recent singles “New Religion” and “Sad Girls,” according to Rolling Stone.
The performance included a group of dancers and opened with a clip of “New Religion” before moving into “Sad Girls.” Rexha released “Sad Girls,” a collaboration with David Guetta, in May.
Both songs are featured on her latest album, Dirty Blonde, which is her first release as an independent artist. “New Religion,” which came out in March, was her first single on her own label.
In a statement, Rexha said “Sad Girls” is meant for people who have danced through heartbreak and kept going. She also said making Dirty Blonde independently gave her the freedom to trust her instincts and create something that feels completely her own.
