Ariana Grande appears to be quietly confirming a rekindled relationship with her former backup dancer Ricky Álvarez, according to E! News.
The singer shared a July 27 Instagram carousel featuring recent moments from her life, including a clip of her clinking olives with Álvarez as she promoted her upcoming eighth album, Petal.
E! News reports that Grande and Álvarez, who dated from 2015 to 2016, have been spending time together again following her breakup with Wicked co-star Ethan Slater. The outlet also noted that Grande has made several lyric changes during performances of “thank u next” on her Eternal Sunshine tour that seem to reference Álvarez.
During shows in Austin, Texas, and Brooklyn, New York, Grande altered the line about him in different ways, including “And they still really slap,” “I know he still got my back,” and “We always find our way back.” Álvarez has also been seen supporting her at tour stops and spending time with her parents in the crowd, according to E! News.
