Backstreet Boys member Kevin Richardson and Snoop Dogg met in person at Sunday’s red-carpet premiere of Paw Patrol: The Dino Movie, according to Billboard.
The group’s social accounts marked the moment on Tuesday with photos of the two embracing and shaking hands, alongside the caption, “It finally happened… iykyk.”
The joke refers to viral memes that started in 2024 and compared Richardson to a “white Snoop Dogg,” with fans posting side-by-side photos as proof. Some listeners have said the comparison goes back even further, including memories of the band members pointing it out during the group’s Black & Blue Tour in 2001.
The premiere brought the two together because Snoop voices the character Dave in the upcoming film, while the Backstreet Boys recorded the song “Bottle Up” for the movie. The film is scheduled for release on Aug. 16.
