Arnold Schwarzenegger celebrated his 79th birthday on July 30 by doing what he knows best: working out. According to E! News, he posted photos on Instagram showing him training his arms and displaying his muscles.
In his post, Schwarzenegger said he did not want birthday gifts. Instead, he said that he and his team are trying to change the fitness industry and pointed followers toward his Pump Club app.
He added that he has spent decades trying to get people to train and believes he has finally found an approach that works. The post also served as a reminder of his long-running interest in fitness and bodybuilding.
Schwarzenegger’s son Joseph Baena has also pursued bodybuilding and won his first competition earlier this year, according to E! News. Schwarzenegger, who shares five children with ex-wife Maria Shriver, has also said in the past that he likes to celebrate his birthday with exercise before enjoying the evening.
