Fire Country star Diane Farr says she is leaving Los Angeles after 30 years, according to E! News. Farr shared the news on Instagram July 30 and described the move as the start of her next chapter.
In her post, Farr said she has lived in Los Angeles for exactly three decades and explained that she chose the city when she moved there from New York City at age 26 to pursue acting. She wrote that she came to Hollywood chasing a dream she is still surprised came true.
Farr, who plays Sharon Leone on the CBS drama and has also appeared on shows including Numb3rs and Rescue Me, said she was grateful for the life she built in Southern California. She noted that she raised her children there, attended public schools, and feels the city will always be where her family is from.
She also said the move is not necessarily permanent, calling it a “hiatus,” and added that selling her longtime home was more difficult than she expected. Farr did not say where she is headed next, but teased that her “third act” includes “a couple of countries” she never pictured herself in.
