Abby Elliott has filed for divorce from her husband, television producer Bill Kennedy, according to court documents obtained by TMZ and reported by E! News.
The filing was made on July 17 and lists July 8 as the couple’s date of separation. Elliott, who is 39, cited irreconcilable differences as the reason for the split.
According to the outlet, Elliott is asking for joint legal and physical custody of their two children, Edith, 5, and William, 3. She is also seeking spousal support and payment of her attorney’s fees.
Elliott and Kennedy met while working on the 2014 film Sex Ed, which Kennedy wrote and Elliott starred in. They got engaged in October 2015 and married in New England the following year.
The pair’s marriage lasted nearly 10 years. Kennedy has worked on projects including House of Cards, The Morning Show and Tell Me Lies, according to the report.
