Ariana Grande had a special guest join her during the third night of her five-show residency at Brooklyn’s Barclays Center, according to Rolling Stone. While performing “Safety Net,” Ty Dolla $ign came through the set’s stage house and joined her for a duet.
Ty wore a leather jacket and pants for the performance of the song, which appears on Grande’s 2020 album Positions. “Safety Net” reached No. 52 on the Billboard Hot 100 after the album’s release.
After the song ended, Ty praised Grande from the stage, calling her “the queen” and thanking her. He also posted a hint on social media later, writing “to be continued…..” over a photo of Grande being lifted during the finale of “Supernatural.”
Grande is scheduled to return to Barclays Center for shows on July 18 and 19 before heading to Boston for three nights at TD Garden. Her Eternal Sunshine tour began last month in Oakland in support of her seventh studio album, and it marks her first headlining concert run since 2019.
