Rihanna is once again working on new music, according to A$AP Rocky, who said on The Jason Lee Show that she is in the studio right now.
His comments came 10 years after the release of Anti, the album fans have long treated as the starting point for the singer’s next project, often referred to as R9. Rocky said he may have spoken out of turn, joking that he could be in trouble for revealing it.
The update lines up with what Rihanna shared earlier this year. In a February Instagram video, she told her team she had to head to the studio after finishing up and also needed to make a Mardi Gras costume for her son.
In recent years, Rihanna has focused much of her time on her business ventures, including Savage X Fenty and Fenty Beauty, as well as raising her children with Rocky. She has also said in interviews that she wants any new music to reflect her growth and feel worth the time away from the studio.
