ZZ Top has canceled its scheduled performance at the Hollywood Bowl on Wednesday, Aug. 5, according to Rolling Stone.
In a statement shared on the band’s social media, frontman Billy Gibbons said that “insurmountable obstacles” forced the group to call off the show. He also thanked fans for their patience during what he described as a brief interruption.
The band said ticket holders can get refunds at the original point of purchase. Tickets, including parking and transportation passes, will also be automatically refunded to the payment method used for the purchase.
ZZ Top’s current Big One tour still includes upcoming stops in Fresno, California, on Friday, along with shows in Saratoga, New York, and Modesto, California, this weekend. Cheap Trick, which has shared some dates with ZZ Top, announced a separate “very special and intimate” concert at the Troubadour in West Hollywood on Wednesday that sold out quickly.
