The cast of Anna Pigeon had plenty of praise for Lea Thompson at the show’s Aug. 5 premiere, according to E! News. Thompson serves as an executive producer and director on the upcoming USA Network series, which is based on Nevada Barr’s novels.
Actor Manuel Rodriguez-Saenz told E! that he was thrilled to learn Thompson was leading the project, calling her an icon and saying he could hardly believe he would get to work with her.
Rodriguez-Saenz said Thompson was down-to-earth, warm, professional and friendly on set. Nikki Rae Hallow also said working with Thompson was mind-blowing, adding that she had admired her for her entire life.
Ryan Northcott said Thompson was open about her Hollywood experience and could be asked anything. Ronnie Rowe added a lighter detail, saying Thompson would dance behind the scenes, including Broadway and classical-style routines. Anna Pigeon, starring Tracy Spiridakos as a park ranger who investigates crimes, premieres on USA Network Aug. 7.
