Wunderhorse debut new songs ‘Promises’ and ‘Kerosene’ on North American tour

Wunderhorse have begun their 2026 North American tour by debuting two new songs, ‘Promises’ and ‘Kerosene,’ according to NME.

The British band first played the tracks at the 9:30 Club in Washington, DC, on July 23, where they opened a 15-song set with music from their 2024 album ‘Midas’ before moving through songs including ‘Butterflies’, ‘Emily’, ‘Girl’ and ‘Cathedrals’.

Midway through the show, frontman Jacob Slater introduced ‘Promises’, an unreleased track with a restrained but intense sound and lyrics centered on betrayal, doubt and conflict. Later in the set, the group performed ‘Kerosene’, which leans heavier and draws on 1990s grunge and punk influences.

Since that concert, Wunderhorse have continued to perform both songs at shows in Brooklyn, Boston and Philadelphia. The band is next scheduled to play in Toronto on Thursday, July 30, before appearing at Osheaga Festival on July 31.

Wunderhorse are also due to headline Sheffield’s Rock N Roll Circus on August 29, one of just two outdoor UK shows they have planned this year. It is not yet known when the new songs will be released or whether they will appear on an upcoming album.
