Ministry of Sound to Mark 35th Anniversary With Andy C, Kerri Chandler and More

London’s Ministry of Sound will celebrate its 35th anniversary with a weekend-long event on Oct. 2 and 3, according to Billboard U.K.

The lineup includes Andy C, Kerri Chandler, Moodymann and Loco Dice, who will each take over different parts of the club’s birthday programming. Tickets for the event are being sold through Dice.fm.

Friday night will feature Louder, the club’s longest-running night, with drum-and-bass artist Andy C returning to the venue for the first time in 10 years for a three-hour set. On Saturday, Hard Times will bring together Kerri Chandler and Moodymann for a daytime show.

Later that night, Urge, Ministry of Sound’s underground house and techno night, will be led by Loco Dice. Club director Matt Long said the anniversary lineup was chosen to reflect the venue’s heritage and its current sound.

Ministry of Sound first opened in Elephant & Castle in September 1991 and has since become a major force in the U.K. dance music scene. The club has also recently released a book, launched a livestreamed DJ competition and announced a one-off return to Ibiza.
