Travis Barker has confirmed that Blink-182 are working on a new album, according to NME. The drummer shared the update during a new interview with The New York Times’ Popcast.
When asked what he was currently focused on, Barker said he was involved in a few projects, including producing work and “working on the next Blink album.” He later clarified that the band are working on the record this year.
Barker also said he is producing and playing drums on the next Alkaline Trio album. Blink-182’s most recent full-length release was 2023’s One More Time..., which marked the return of the original trio of Mark Hoppus, Tom DeLonge and Barker after more than a decade.
Elsewhere, Barker’s documentary Travis Barker: Louder Than Fear is set to arrive on Hulu and Disney+ on August 13. The film recently premiered at Tribeca Festival and looks at Barker’s life, career and recovery after the 2008 plane crash that nearly killed him.
