Travis Barker is sharing new details about his first marriage to Melissa Kennedy, according to E! News. In his Hulu documentary Travis Barker: Louder Than Fear, the Blink-182 drummer said the relationship struggled while he was constantly on tour in his mid-20s.
Barker said he was touring nonstop with Blink-182 and realized the marriage was no longer working for either of them. He said the couple had a major argument before he returned to Los Angeles and shifted his focus to his growing music career.
Barker and Kennedy divorced in 2002 after less than a year of marriage. He later married Shanna Moakler, and the two share children Landon Barker and Alabama Barker, as well as stepdaughter Atiana de la Hoya.
The musician also talked about how his relationship with Kourtney Kardashian developed over time. Barker said they were longtime friends before things became romantic, and he eventually realized their connection was something special.
