Tori Amos honored Glen Hansard with a live cover of the Swell Season’s “Falling Slowly” on Wednesday night at Boston’s Leader Bank Pavilion, according to Stereogum.
Amos is currently on tour supporting her May album, In Times Of Dragons. The performance came after news that Hansard had died earlier this week in a motorcycle crash at age 56.
Hansard and Markéta Irglová released “Falling Slowly” in 2006. The song was later nominated for a Grammy in 2008 and won the Academy Award for Best Original Song for its use in the 2007 film Once.
Before Amos’s tribute, Bono also shared heartfelt words honoring Hansard on social media, according to the source.
