Tom Chadbon, the British actor whose career included roles in Doctor Who, Game of Thrones and Casino Royale, died last weekend at age 80, according to Fantom Events.
The company, which hosted a signing with Chadbon earlier this year, described him in a July 27 statement as a familiar face to many and said he was always warm and friendly to work with. Fantom Events also sent condolences to his family.
Chadbon amassed more than 100 acting credits across television and film. One of his best-known roles was private detective Duggan in the 1979 Doctor Who serial City of Death, opposite Tom Baker.
He later returned to the Doctor Who universe in The Trial of a Time Lord and provided voices for later audio and podcast projects tied to the franchise. His other credits included Midsomer Murders, Peep Show, Casualty, Poirot and several films, with his final TV credit coming in Game of Thrones.
