Shaboozey performed his recent single “Cowgirl” on The Tonight Show, bringing in Summer House star Ciara Miller for the live set, according to Rolling Stone.
The performance was staged in a Western bar-themed setup, with Shaboozey and his band playing beneath a sign that referenced his upcoming album. Miller, who appeared in the song’s music video, made a surprise entrance partway through the performance and danced alongside him onstage.
“Cowgirl” is from Shaboozey’s forthcoming concept album, The Outlaw Cherie Lee & Other Western Tales. The project is set for release July 31 and includes collaborations with Kehlani, Gunna, Leon Bridges and Orville Peck.
Shaboozey has described the album as a Western story built around revenge and centered on the character Cherie Lee. He also said it was shaped by his interest in film and storytelling, and he plans to support the release with his Outlaws Never Die Tour, which begins Sept. 8 in Phoenix.
