The Avalanches have announced that a new album is on the way. According to Pitchfork, No Bad Memories will be released October 16 through Modular.
The Australian group also shared another track from the project, “Can’t Get Over Losing You,” featuring Portraits of Tracy. The song comes with an animated video directed by Jonathan Zawada.
In a statement, the band praised Tracy’s production, mixing, voice, and songwriting, calling her a “generational talent” and saying they feel lucky to create music together.
Pitchfork reports that the album will take listeners into jingles, commercials, and the world of marketing. No Bad Memories includes 31 tracks and follows the group’s 2020 album We Will Always Love You.
So far, the Avalanches have not revealed the full tracklist. They have already released several singles from the album, including “Blue Shadows” with Karen O, “Every Single Weekend” with Jamie xx, and “Together” with Jessy Lanza, Nikki Nair, and Prentiss.
