Minnie Driver says she is recovering after a serious car crash while visiting France with her friend Ben Homewood, according to E! News.
In an Instagram post on Aug. 6, the actress said she was back in London after the accident and described it as a near-death experience. Driver said the two were able to get out alive, though she noted they had to crawl from the vehicle.
Driver said the crash happened on a country road in the middle of France when another car failed to stop at an intersection and hit their vehicle. She said the collision was not their fault and added that she has a sprained neck.
She also said she is still shaken by the experience and has been crying as she processes it. Driver credited the design of the small Kia they were traveling in, saying its 360-degree airbags helped save their lives and that she is grateful to be alive.
