The Stray Cats made their first late-night TV appearance in 36 years last night, performing on The Tonight Show, according to Stereogum.
The band played a spirited version of their 1981 hit “Rock This Town” and appeared with their original lineup and stand-up drum kit.
Stereogum noted that the group has broken up and reunited multiple times over the years, but is currently back on the road.
Before this appearance, the Stray Cats’ last TV performance was in 1990, when they played “Gene And Eddie” on Late Show with David Letterman.
