Smashing Pumpkins Bring Out Barry Williams at Lollapalooza Aftershow

The Smashing Pumpkins opened Lollapalooza week with a pre-festival performance at Chicago’s Riviera Theatre on Wednesday night, according to Stereogum. The band is set to play the festival for the first time in 32 years on Thursday night.

The show drew a few notable guests, including Flavor Flav, who was seen watching from the stands, and former bassist Melissa Auf der Maur. Auf der Maur joined the group for the closing song, “The Everlasting Gaze.”

Barry Williams, best known for playing Greg Brady on The Brady Bunch, also appeared onstage with the band. He performed “It’s A Sunshine Day,” a song from the TV series.

According to Stereogum, the set also included the first live performance of “War Dreams Of Itself” from the band’s 2024 album Aghori Mhori Mei, as well as the first performance of “Thirty-Three” since 2018 and “Dorian” since 2015.
