Miranda Kerr says the key to co-parenting with Orlando Bloom and Katy Perry has been keeping the children’s needs at the center of every decision, according to E! News. Kerr shared the comments at the Environmental Working Group’s Know Your Worth Earth Day Dinner on April 22.
Kerr said she and Bloom have followed that approach with their son Flynn from the start, and that it has helped them handle difficult situations. She added that when parents focus on what is best for the child, it becomes easier to work through changes and disagreements.
The model also said she has developed a close friendship with Perry over the years. Kerr explained that they clicked right away and have spent time together on holidays and at important family milestones.
Bloom and Perry, who called off their engagement last summer, have said they will continue to appear together as a family because raising their daughter Daisy remains their shared priority. Kerr said the three of them recently took a photo together and were all smiling, describing them as one big happy family.
