Shia LaBeouf reportedly told the court he had been drinking alcohol every day as his legal case continued in New Orleans, according to E! News.
The new filing, dated Aug. 19, comes after LaBeouf pleaded guilty in June to three counts of simple battery following his arrest during Mardi Gras celebrations in New Orleans. The court documents also say he submitted proof that he completed anger management and substance abuse treatment.
According to the report, LaBeouf declined mental health treatment. The 40-year-old actor was sentenced to two years of probation and ordered to complete substance abuse treatment and stay sober.
LaBeouf’s next court date is scheduled for Sept. 23, though the documents note he will not appear in person because he will be on a movie set. E! News said it reached out to his representative and attorney for comment but had not heard back.
