Shania Twain has joined forces with Queens Of The Stone Age frontman Josh Homme on her new single “Faded Blue Jeans,” according to NME.
The track is the last preview from Twain’s upcoming album “Little Miss Twain,” which is set for release on July 24 through Republic Nashville. It follows her 2023 album “Queen Of Me.”
Twain wrote the song on her own, and NME says it was inspired by a teenage relationship and the feeling that young love might never end. The song leans into guitar-driven sounds and draws on the rock, blues and rebellious influences that shaped her early years.
Homme adds vocals to give the track a rougher edge. “Little Miss Twain” has already been introduced with the singles “Dirty Rosie” and its title track.
The collaboration comes during a busy stretch for Homme, who has also recently appeared on Mastodon’s new single “Snakes For Dinner.” Queens Of The Stone Age have meanwhile released their first new song in three years, “Easy Street,” featuring Nikki Lane.
