Sammy Hagar has publicly invited David Lee Roth to appear at his Las Vegas residency after Roth canceled the remaining dates on his current tour, according to NME.
Roth’s North American tour began in April, but all but one of the scheduled shows have now been called off. The only date still listed is an August 7 performance at the Sturgis Motorcycle Rally in South Dakota. Roth’s camp has not said why the other dates were canceled.
In a video posted to social media, Hagar said he was sorry to hear about the cancellations and said he hoped Roth was doing well. Hagar also said he and Michael Anthony appreciated Roth continuing to perform music connected to Van Halen.
Hagar then invited Roth to come to his “Sammy Hagar: The Best of All Worlds” Las Vegas residency at Dolby Live in September. He suggested Roth could sing a few songs or help host the show.
