Salma Hayek Pinault and her daughter, Valentina Pinault, gave fans a rare look at their relationship during a joint appearance for E! News’ Carversations series. The mother and daughter shared jokes, teased each other and compared style while shopping together.
During the Aug. 4 episode, Valentina joked that she was “cooler” than her mother. Salma, 59, did not push back and said she enjoys discovering new things through her daughter, adding that Valentina’s artistic side has helped shape her own sense of style and taste.
Salma also reflected on watching Valentina grow and change over the years. She said it has been lovely to see her daughter continue to explore and rediscover herself.
Valentina, meanwhile, stayed blunt in her opinions during the outing, even rejecting one of Salma’s shirt choices because it had pockets. Valentina has mostly stayed out of the spotlight, though she has appeared at a few public events with her parents in recent months, according to E! News.
