Rob Lowe says his son John Owen has turned teasing his dad into “a cottage industry” online. In an interview with E! News, Lowe said he is now cautious about posting because he expects his 30-year-old son to roast him.
The actor said the jokes usually come from his love of TikTok. Lowe joked that John Owen treats it like an older person obsessing over Facebook, and said his feed is full of sports, dogs and ancient alien videos.
Lowe shares sons Matthew Edward, 32, and John Owen, 30, with his wife, Sheryl Berkoff. He said he enjoys watching his children build their own lives and futures, while stepping back and letting them handle adulthood on their own.
He also said that being a father helped shape the way he talks to his kids about money and entrepreneurship. Lowe said he taught them to make money early on and to save part of it, a lesson he connected to his work with Accredited Debt Relief, which he says promotes the value of financial mentorship.
