Sydney Towle said kindness was the message she wanted to leave behind

Sydney Towle said she wanted kindness to be the message people remembered after her death. In a November appearance on the Question Everything podcast, the influencer told host Danielle Robay that the biggest thing she could tell her followers was to treat people with compassion and empathy.

Towle added that even a small act of positivity can matter because no one knows what someone else may be going through. She said those words could improve someone’s day, week or more.

According to E! News, Towle died on Aug. 5 at age 26 after a yearlong battle with cholangiocarcinoma, a rare bile duct cancer. Her family announced her death on social media a day later, following news that she had been moved to hospice care.

After her death, Towle’s brother Austin and mother Elizabeth thanked supporters for their messages and said she would not be forgotten. In their tribute, the family described her as an “endless ray of sunshine” and said they were proud of how hard she fought.
