Pulp has shared the first trailer for What Do You Do for an Encore?, a new documentary about the Britpop band that focuses on its 2025 comeback tour, according to Rolling Stone.
The trailer features frontman Jarvis Cocker narrating over archival footage and concert scenes from the group’s recent shows. It is set to a live version of the band’s song “Common People.”
According to Mubi, the film combines four decades of previously unseen archive material with footage from Pulp’s live performances. The documentary also includes 20 songs from the band’s 2025 concerts.
Directed by Garth Jennings, the film will debut on Mubi on September 25. It will also screen in American theaters for one night only on September 24.
Jennings has worked with Pulp before, directing music videos for the band in the past. He said he was excited by the idea of documenting the reunion after hearing rumors about it in 2022.
