PNAU has released its seventh studio album, AHHCade, according to Billboard. The electronic duo says the project was inspired by the energy and atmosphere of video game arcades from their youth.
Co-founder Nick Littlemore told Billboard that the group initially aimed to make something darker and more industrial, but the record instead turned toward memories of arcade culture and other formative spaces. He described arcades as exciting places that offered kids a glimpse of the future.
The album includes previously released tracks such as “Tu Corazon (Your Heart)” featuring The Warning and “Nirvana” with EARTHGANG and sadMONTH. A new single, “Serotonin” featuring Kurtis Wells, also arrives with the album, which includes additional collaborations with Master Peace, Kungs, MEDUZA, Maleigh Zan, The Flints, LATASHA and Marieme.
PNAU will support the release with a national tour beginning Sept. 19 at Brisbane’s Night at the Parkland event. Littlemore also said he hopes to eventually step back from touring and focus more on production and composition.
