Phoebe Bridgers made a surprise stop on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon for a performance of “Lost Boys,” arriving exactly one month before the release of her new album, Lost Weekend, according to Rolling Stone.
For the performance, Bridgers shared the stage with a band of young musicians ages 8 to 14. She sang lines including, “On a motorbike, doing 90 in a 55,” and “To another life/Where they make you cut your hair.”
“Lost Boys” was released late last month and was produced by Bridgers, Jack Antonoff, Tony Berg and Ethan Gruska, with additional production from Alex G. Bridgers’ boygenius bandmates Lucy Dacus and Julien Baker also contributed backing vocals.
Lost Weekend, Bridgers’ third solo album, is set to arrive Aug. 14 via Dead Oceans. The album follows Punisher, her breakout 2020 release, and will be supported by the Lost Tour, which begins Sept. 15 in Indianapolis and will be entirely phoneless.
