Perez Hilton has been hospitalized after police responded to his Miami home following reports that he was engaging in self-harm during a TikTok livestream on Aug. 4, according to E! News.
The Miami-Dade Sheriff’s Office said it received multiple calls about someone livestreaming acts of self-harm on social media. Deputies later found the residence, spoke with family members on scene, and confirmed Hilton was alone inside.
In a follow-up statement, police said the individual was safely recovered and taken by Miami-Dade Fire Rescue to a local hospital, where he is receiving medical care. The sheriff’s office crisis response unit and licensed mental health professionals were also helping his family.
The livestream video has since been removed. Hilton’s representatives said they were aware of the concerning content circulating online and asked for privacy while they tried to confirm information and reach him.
