Olympic skier Gus Kenworthy is engaged to his partner of two years, Andrew Rigby, after a proposal on Aug. 4 off the coast of Mallorca, Spain, according to E! News.
Kenworthy told People that he planned the moment as a little adventure, taking Rigby by private dinghy from the pier at the St. Regis near the Mar Sea Club. Once they reached an island, he set up a picnic with sweet margaritas and proposed at the top of the cliffs.
Rigby said he had no idea what was coming and thought they were simply taking a relaxing vacation. After he said yes, Kenworthy arranged another surprise: a celebration with friends on a chartered boat.
The two first met more than 10 years ago in Sydney, but their relationship did not begin until they were formally introduced at a mutual friend's birthday party in March 2024, E! News reported. They later made their relationship public five months after meeting.
