50 Cent says he has recorded a new song with Eminem and 2Pac for the soundtrack to the upcoming Street Fighter film, according to NME. He shared the update during an appearance on Today With Jenna & Sheinelle on July 24.
When asked how 2Pac would be included on the track, 50 Cent explained that the late rapper’s estate provided the vocals. He said the song was created for the movie’s theme and stressed that artificial intelligence was not used.
“It’s his estate. No, it’s not AI,” he said, adding that the family and estate “loved it.” He also said the collaboration will be released “coming out shortly,” but no title or official release date has been announced.
50 Cent is set to play Balrog in Street Fighter, which is scheduled to hit cinemas on October 16. The live-action film, directed by Kitao Sakurai, also stars Andrew Koji, Noah Centineo, Callina Liang, Jason Momoa, David Dastmalchian, Orville Peck, Cody Rhodes and Joe “Roman Reigns” Anoa’i.
