Maricopa residents may soon have another place to practice yoga and Pilates. Dharma Yoga and Pilates AZ is planning to open in spring 2027, according to InMaricopa.
Founder Jocelyn Orquita says the studio will offer heated yoga and reformer Pilates and is meant to be welcoming to people at every experience level. The location has not yet been finalized.
Orquita said the idea came from her visits to Maricopa with family and conversations with people she has met at community events. She said many residents have told her they are excited about having a local option instead of traveling to nearby cities.
This will be Orquita’s first business. She began practicing yoga in 2007, became a certified instructor in 2019, and said she wants the studio to feel like a place where every person feels comfortable walking through the door.
