Georgia deputy wrangles escaped calf off a busy road, video shows

A Forsyth County, Georgia, sheriff’s deputy helped escort a wandering calf off a road after spotting it in the middle of traffic, according to UPI Odd News.

The sheriff’s office said Deputy Hammock was driving on Hopewell Road when he came across the young cow roaming where cars were traveling. The department described the animal as a potential traffic hazard and said the deputy quickly pulled over to move it out of harm’s way.

According to the sheriff’s office, Hammock safely wrangled the calf off the roadway and guided it back toward its pasture.

The sheriff’s office public information officer happened to see the scene while driving home and stopped to record video of the calf being escorted away from the road.
