NeNe Leakes made her return to Bravo in the premiere of The Real Housewives Ultimate Girls Trip: Roaring 20s, according to E! News. The appearance comes six years after her abrupt and unceremonious exit from The Real Housewives of Atlanta during the show’s virtual season 12 reunion in 2020.
The Aug. 9 episode opens with Porsha Williams welcoming NeNe into her home as the women get ready for the trip. In a confessional, Porsha recalls that the last time viewers saw NeNe was during that pandemic-era reunion, when she ended the call by closing her laptop.
During their reunion, the two catch up on life, and NeNe quickly turns the conversation to Porsha’s relationship with Patrice “Sway” McKinney. Porsha talks about how the romance began with casual texting before the two connected at an event.
Porsha also lays out the group’s travel plans, which include stops in places such as Orange County, Beverly Hills, Miami, New York City and Atlanta. Porsha says it is a big deal for NeNe to return for the 20th anniversary celebration, and NeNe agrees that the comeback is significant.
E! News says NeNe’s appearance will be part of the Bravo special as it continues to highlight the franchise’s milestone anniversary.
